Re-introduction of Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) in Kresna Gorge of Struma River, Bulgaria Annual Report 2016

The pdf of the new Annual report for the reintroduction of the Griffon Vulture in Kresna Gorge in 2016 is ready.

About 50 tons of food provided in 206 events, 6-8 Griffon Vulture pairs formed, 2 successfully fledged young, 61 ind. new record number of Griffons seen at once, 110-130 ind. identified throughout the year, 2 Egyptian Vultures, a Eurasian Black Vulture and a White-tailed Sea Eagle is the account for 2016 in Kresna Gorge.

The Reintroduction of Griffon vulture has started in 2009 and became possible because of LIFE for Kresna Gorge LIFE 11 NAT/BG/ 363, from 2012 to 2016, and EU LIFE+ Program.
